Curriculum

SGM GCS has curated an innovative curriculum to focus on our student’s learning abilities and address the need of the hour. We work with the concepts of home notes and hand-out materials for all the classes. We have exclusively prepared this unique academic resource material along with the textbooks for our children, taking into consideration the Board’s objectives, and student’s learning needs, abilities, and interests.

Pre-Primary:

Primary School: The curriculum is designed to draw from their experiences and meet the cognitive and socio-emotional needs of the child. The teachers foster an atmosphere that is personalized and child centered. A lot of stress is laid at this stage on spoken English with emphasis on good pronunciation and diction coupled with excellent reading and writing skills. Field trips and Inter House Competitions are organised regularly to make learning fun and meaningful. 

Middle School:

Middle school provides a nurturing, secure, and supportive environment that motivates young adolescents to take on challenges in a culture of nurtured risk-taking as the children transition from childhood to adolescence. They are forced out of their comfort zones to develop their character, resiliency, and strong problem-solving abilities.

The academic curriculum in middle school places a strong emphasis on inspiring students to become independent learners and broaden their knowledge and skill sets. Middle school curricula also attempt to promote deep and critical thinking in our students.

Secondary School:

For the secondary classes i.e., class 9 &10 the main aim is to provide in-depth knowledge of the concepts. Extensive use of technology supplements classroom teaching thereby making it interactive and thus enhancing comprehension. The school offers CBSE-recommended schoolbooks and study materials for the students. Our students can avail of supplementary books and sample question papers for greater success in examinations conducted by the Board. The activity-based curriculum and the various teaching aids used by our school facilitate a wholesome learning experience for our young geniuses.

Senior Secondary School:

For Senior Secondary i.e., Class 11 and 12, the main aim at this level is to prepare students according to the CBSE curriculum Experienced teachers strive to achieve excellent results through a result-oriented approach to teaching. Students can choose subjects of their choice from several subjects offered. SGM GCS supports students identify their potential as they prepare to enter the world of work and responsibility. In the process of learning and self-motivation, the students evolve as discerning young adults with values and principles that contribute to the community and the environment.
